Dorisa Jean Guinn, age 72, of Coffeyville, Kansas died Monday, July 15, 2013 at the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2013 with the Reverend Doug Mund of the Grace Fellowship Church officiating at the FordWulfBruns Chapel. Burial will follow in the Blue Jacket Cemetery in Blue Jacket, Oklahoma under the direction of the FordWulfBruns Chapel.
Visitation hours will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2013 with the family receiving friends at the FordWulfBruns Chapel.
The family has suggested memorials to the American Diabetes Foundation or the Jerry Marquette Radiation and Oncology Center and contributions may be left at the FordWulfBruns Chapel.
Dorisa JeanRoark Guinn was born September 4, 1940 in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated in 1959 from Miami, Oklahoma High School. In 1964 Jeanie married Tommy D. Guinn in Wichita, Kansas. The family moved to Coffeyville, Kansas in 1968, where they made their home. Jeanie was a homemaker until 1976 when she began working at WalMart. She retired from WalMart in 1987 due to health reasons.
She was preceded in death by her mother Zola Roark, her brother Tommy Roark and sister Cathy Rainey.
Survivors include her husband Tommy Guinn, four daughters Tronta Neal of Disney, Oklahoma, Shelley Diediker of Winfield, Kansas, Lisa Guinn of Fayette, Iowa and Susie Guinn of Coffeyville, Kansas three grandsons Stephen and wife Kara Sykes of Coffeyville, Kansas JD Guinn and Cooper Diediker both of Winfield, Kansas. She had one granddaughter Devan Diediker of Winfield, Kansas two great grandchildren Brooke and Timmy Sykes of Coffeyville, Kansas.
