Dorothy Marie Beair 1912 2005 Dorothy Marie Beair, age 92, passed away February 1, 2005 at the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in Coffeyville, Kansas. She was born October 19, 1912 in Whittier, California to Joe and Nellie Hansen. When she was very young she moved with her family to Chanute, Kansas along with her two brothers Robert and Clarence. As a child she attended the Chanute School System. She married Earl Beair in 1929 and together they moved to Coffeyville, where Mr. Beair went to work for National Refinery. Mr. Beair preceded her in death in 1961. They had one daughter Zella. She was employed with The Tackle Box later she worked in the office and return department with the Coffeyville News Agency. She was also employed by Dr. Wilkinson Chiropractic as an assistant. A year after her husbands death Mrs. Beair began mission work with Native Americans. Mrs. Beair moved to Flagstaff, Arizona where she joined Rowena Chaves in Mission work. Later they moved to Blanding, Utah where they were instrumental in opening a new mission. Mrs. Beair ministered to Ute and Navajo Indians until her retirement in 1979. Mrs. Beair remained a licensed minister with Assemblies of God. Mrs. Beair graduated with a Bible Correspondence course from Gospel Publishing House in Springfield, Missouri in preparation for mission work. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Coffeyville for over 60 years. She served as a Sunday School Teacher as well as mission work within the Church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing traveling. Mrs. Beair is survived by a sister-in-law, Ella Blevens a niece, Juanita Ward both of Coffeyville. She is also survived by several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren in Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Zella Crabb one grandson, Rick Trotter. Calling hours will be held from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 3, 2005. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m., February 4, 2005 at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be given to Assembly of God Church or Medical Lodge Nursing Home both of Coffeyville. co Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel.
