Dorothy Geeding

Dorothy Dean Geeding, 79, of Coffeyville, Kansas died Monday, June 22, 2009 at Medicalodge Nursing Center in Coffeyville. She was born September 24, 1929 in Fairmont, North Dakota to Walter Richardson and Viola Soard. Dorothy married Richard Geeding on October 30, 1948 and held many jobs in addition to being a full time homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Jerry and Bobby, sister Mary and an infant son Curtis Lee. Survivors include her daughter Shirley Frederick of South Coffeyville, grandchildren: Mike Reeves of Coffeyville, John Reeves of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, Tracy Davidson of Lenapah, Oklahoma, Misti Easter of Coffeyville and Dottie Frederick of South Coffeyville, seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild . Funeral services for Dorothy Dean Geeding will be held on Friday, June 26, 2009 at Penwell Gabel Coffeyville Chapel at 10:00a.m. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, also in Coffeyville. Dorothy will lie in state at the funeral home from 1:00p.m. until 8:00pm. on Thursday, June 25, 2009. Penwell Gabel Coffeyville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
