Douglas March

Douglas "Turtle" Martin March of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on October 12, 2016 at St. John's Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma from injuries due to a motor cycle accident on September 29, 2016.

Douglas was born to Robert "Bud" Martin March and Billie Marie (Ehart) March on April 5, 1953 in Coffeyville, Kansas. The family relocated to the Oklahoma City area, later returning to Coffeyville in his younger years where he remained living the rest of his life. Doug worked at various jobs throughout his life. Retiring from John Deere in 2011 after 15 years of service. Doug loved automobiles and enjoyed Racing and going to Car Shows, being a member of various car clubs.

On May 16, 1975 he was united in marriage to Kathy Artherton, the couple made their home in Coffeyville and from that union four children were born. The couple later divorced in 2013.
Surviving to honor his memory are his children, Jeffrey March and his wife Margie of Bartlesville, OK, Jennifer Wheeler and fiancé Tracy Dixon, Jessica March and Justin March; sister, LaDonna McCutchen and her husband Ed of Owasso, OK; brother, Lester March and wife Debbie of Melissa. TX; five grandchildren and numerous extended family.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas, with Pastor Mike Elrod of Westside Christian Church officiating.
