Douglas Ratliff Douglas Ratliff, age 74, Coffeyville, Kansas resident died on May 3, 2006 at his home in Coffeyville. He was born September 27, 1931 to Joseph and Allie Maude Collins Ratliff in Jackson, Mississippi. Mr. Ratliff graduated from Jim Hill High School, Jackson, Mississippi. On August 18, 1961 he married Ida Bell Scott in Sacramento, California. They made their home in the Sacramento, California area before moving to Coffeyville in 1972. He was a Cement Mason and Contractor where he was employed with Plaster and Cement Masons of the United States and Canada. Douglas confessed in Christ at an early age and was united with Christ at the St. James M.B. Church under the Pastorate of the late Rev. T.C. Simmons. Survivors include his loving wife Ida Bell Ratliff of Coffeyville, sons, Anthony Thames of Wichita, Keith Ratliff Jennifer of Jackson, MS.; and son, Sir Douglas Ratliff of Wichita; daughters, Julie Brown Antonius of Kansas City, MO.; Daughter, Betty Ratliff, Martha Jean Moses of Oklahoma City; Debra Burgess of Coffeyville. Step children are: Jacqueline McMillan Elijah of Fort Worth, TX, Gwendolyn Wiggins James Earl of Henning,TN, Delbert Bobbie Sales of Oklahoma, Don Juanita Sales of Wichita, Milton Nolan of Wichita, Deloris Williams of Coffeyville, Larry Anderson Sheila of Wichita. Sisters Christia Hudson Michael, Jackson, MS. and Bobbie Jean Lovelady Leon, Springfield, MO. There are 41 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. A host of special friends, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Mr. Ratliff was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Berenice Cottrell, brother, Robert Ratliff, sister, Betty Jo Moncure, daughters, Bobbie Ratliff, Christia Blackmon and Berenice Ratliff. Also, a step-son, George Anderson, Jr. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at 10:00 AM in the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. The Reverend Gary Stephens will officiate and burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 pm and Monday from 9:00am until 9:00 pm. at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
