Edgar G. Hepner 1924 2005 Edgar G. Hepner, age 80, longtime Coffeyville resident passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2005 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville, Kansas. Mr. Hepner was born July 17, 1924 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Edgar Grant Hepner, Sr. amp; Iva Christina Parsons Hepner. He was born and raised in Coffeyville. He was a 1942 graduate of Field Kindley Memorial High School. He was a WWII US Army Veteran serving in the European Theatre from Feb. 2, 1944 Feb. 1, 1946. After his time in the Military he returned home. He married Beverly Barcus in Coffeyville, Kansas on October of 1947. They later
orced. On October 29, 1971 he married Barbara Bradley in Coffeyville, Kansas. She later preceded him in death. His hobby was spending time with his grandchildren. Employment includes: He worked for Boeing Airplane Manufacturing in Wichita, Kansas; Owned and Operated his own Food Service also in Wichita; He then moved to Coffeyville and worked for Thompson Brothers Welding Supply and Parmac Inc. of Coffeyville. After retirement he served as an Eagle Security Guard for several Coffeyville businesses. Survivors include four sons, Kenneth Hepner of Ogden, Utah; Gary Hepner, Wichita, Kansas; Mike Bradley amp; Rick Bradley Teresa Hitt both of Coffeyville. Two daughters, Becky Bruce, Independence; Bobbi Gambill, Rural Coffeyville. 17 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren One brother Bob Hepner of Citrus Heights, California; two sisters, Mary Atkinson, Coffeyville, Ks.; Jodee Bainter, Winner, S.D. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Barbara Hepner, one granddaughter, Misti Bradley; one son-in-law, Michael Gambill; three brothers, two sisters. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville. Burial will follow in the Penwell-Gabel Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Coffeyville, Kansas in the Garden of Devotion. Family and friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2005. Family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Military rites will be conducted by the VFW Post 1022 of Coffeyville, Kansas. Memorial Contributions may be given to the First Baptist Church or Harry Hynes Hospice co Funeral Home.
