EDNA I. PATE 1913-2005 Edna I. Pate, 92, of Coffeyville died Wednesay, May 25, 2005 at Windsor Place. She was born April 25, 1913 to Frank and Anna Hogan Bishop of Simmons, Missouri. On April 25, 1931 she married Wilbur Allen in Simmons, Missouri. The couple lived in Coffeyville where Mr. Allen was the owner of Allen Floor Sanding and Finishing. Mr. Allen died June 4, 1961. On June 6, 1969, she married Ralph Pate in Kansas City, Kansas. The couple made their home in Coffeyville. They spent the next few years traveling. Mr. Pate died May 31, 1988. Mrs. Pate was a member of the First Baptist Church and a member of the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center Auxiliary for over ten years. She was active in the Womens Missionary Circle and a member of AARP. One daughter, Phyllis Loffer and her husband Bob, of Coffeyville, survives her. Three grandchildren, Annette Harbaugh, John Loffer and Amy Sallee, all of Coffeyville. Five great-grandchildren, Erin Harbaugh Clark of Tulsa; Jacob Harbaugh of Pittsburg, Kansas; Laramie and Wade Sallee of Coffeyville and Teena Sphar of Georgia. One great great grandchild, Taylor Sphar of Georgia. She is also survived by four sisters, Thelma Francis, Hazel Hendrix and Norma Gentry of Coffeyville and Gladine Liner of St. Louis. She also leaves two brothers, Robert Bishop of St. Louis and Frank Bishop of Wichita. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Calling hours for Mrs. Pate will from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 27, 2005 at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf Bruns Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 28, 2005 at the Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf Bruns Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial gifts to the First Baptist Church or Harry Hynes Hospice. These remembrances may be left at the funeral home.
