Edwin Beeson

Edwin Walter Beeson of Edna Kansas passed from this life on April 30, 2021.

Edwin was born to Charles and Elizabeth (Barber) Beeson on November 16, 1920. Mr. Beeson graduated from Edna high school in 1940. He served in the United States Army from 1942 through 1946 when he was honorably discharged. Mr. Beeson was a member of the First Baptist Church of Edna Kansas for more than 70 years.

On January 7, 1950 he married Fannie Genevie Holt in Lowell Arkansas. From that marriage two children were born Walter Lee Beeson surviving at the home and Elizabeth Ann Beeson (deceased). Fannie proceeded him in death on October 26, 1963.

On September 16, 1973 Mr. Beeson married Beulah (Hittle) Cole in Montville Connecticut. Beulah proceeded him in death on September 4, 1996. During their marriage they enjoyed traveling and saw all 48 continental states. Upon their marriage Beulah’s children welcomed him into their family. Jack Cole deceased, Donna Patterson deceased, and surviving Reta Crum.

Edwin was also preceded in death by seven siblings Opal, Alma, Ruth, Lloyd, Harold, Kenneth and Myrl.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 3, 2021 at the Edna First Baptist Church at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Richland Cemetery in Angola. The family suggests memorials be made payable to the Edna First Baptist Church or to the Edna Public Library and they may be sent in care of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel 2405 Woodland Ave. Coffeyville KS 67337.
