Ella Belle Beeson, 80, Coffeyville, Kansas, died Tuesday night, December 13, 2011 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. Ella was born August 25, 1931 at Ottawa, Kansas to Ernest McBee and Myrtle Foster McBee. She came to Coffeyville at an early age and attended Lowell Elementary, Roosevelt Junior High and Field Kindley High School, where she was a graduate of the class of 1949. Ella attended business college, before meeting and later, marrying Clifton Beeson on August 8, 1954 at Coffeyville. Mr. Beeson preceded his wife in death on September 10, 1987. Ella worked as a bookkeeper for Otasco for 34 years, before retiring. She was a member of Tyro Christian Church since 1980, where she was active in the choir, Vacation Bible School and helping in the nursery. Ellas family was the second owners of the Pig Stand. She enjoyed Yahtzee, crossword puzzles and bowling in the Womens League at Sunflower Lanes. She loved crappie fishing and canning vegetables and jellies. She is survived by two sons, Steve Beeson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Russell Beeson and his wife, Carol of Lawrence, Kansas two daughters, Karen Utley and her husband, Bob of Briggsdale, Colorado and Helen Nichols and her husband, Jack of Bentley, Louisiana 10 grandchildren, Kirsten Beeson, Mark Torrence, Irene Walker and her husband, Joe, Sgt. Rebecca S. Beeson, Dean Beeson, Randy Robison and his wife, Carol, Rick Robison and his wife, Julie, Michelle Logan and her husband, Kevin, Joe Nichols and his wife, Amy and Tonya Nichols nine greatgrandchildren and two greatgreatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents by her husband by two brothers, Robert and Rex McBee by one sister, Margaret Theiss and by a granddaughter, Jennifer Beeson. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 19, 2011 at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel with Evangelist David Bycroft officiating. Interment will be in Coffeyvilles Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of PenwellGabel Funeral Home Crematory. Visitation will be Sunday, 16 p.m., with the family on hand from 46 p.m. Friends who wish may make donations to Tyro Christian Church and the donations may be left at the funeral home.
