Ellen T. Fangmeier of Coffeyville passed away Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville. She was 91. Ellen was born November 1, 1917 in Coffeyville, Kansas to David and Lena McGrath. She grew up in Coffeyville where she attended school, graduating from Field Kindley High School. On May 11, 1938 she was united in marriage to Henry J. Fangmeier in Coffeyville. The couple made their home in Coffeyville. Ellen worked for Junge Bakery and Sante Fe Railroad. She and Mr. Fangmeier were the owners of Daylight Donuts for five years. She was a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville; she was active in Altar Society, Sasnak Dance Club and was dedicated to her family members. Surviving to honor her memory is her son, James S. Fangmeier and wife Rosalie of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Dr. Angela Fangmeier and husband Richard Honn of Siloam Springs, Anita Fangmeier of Broken Arrow, OK; great grandchildren, Christine Honn, Ryan Honn; sisters, Katherine Kistler and husband Bill, Corrine Myers and husband George both of Coffeyville, Anna Marie McNeely of Billings, MT; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband Henry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 6, 2009 at Holy Name Catholic Church the Father Ben Ngyuen, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, April 5, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00p.m., Sunday at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the Holy Name Catholic Church; these may be left with the funeral home.
