Erma B. "Billie" Bowshier age 88 of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma left her earthly dwelling on Tuesday, January 10, 2018 in Dewey, Oklahoma at the Forrest Manor Nursing Home.
Billie was born on January 7, 1930 to Isom and Marie (Lundy) Skeen in Le Harpe, Kansas. She attended school in Iola, Kansas graduating from Iola High School. On May 16, 1992 Billie married Roger Bowshier in Miami, Oklahoma. Together they made their home on Grand Lake before moving back to South Coffeyville two years ago. Billie and Roger loved to travel visiting every state between Alaska to Florida. Billie enjoyed life and she was always happy, she didn't know how to get angry. She liked to crochet, cook and also enjoyed walking, bowling and keeping a cleaning house, everything had to be in its place.
Billie was a wife, a mother, a grandmother and friend to many. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Roger of the home; sons, Charles Bauer, David Olson and his wife Linda; Bobby Fisk and his wife Pam; brother, Larry Skeen and his wife Joyce; eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She now rest with her parents, grandparents, and sister, Margaret Mewhinney.
Memorial services celebrating Billie's life will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, KS 67337 at 2:00 pm with Chaplain Jsue Wagner of Comforting Hands Hospice officiating. The family suggest that memorial contributions be made payable to Comforting Hands Hospice, contributions may be left in care of the Chapel.
