Ernest Mccool

Ernest Edwin McCool, 89, of Coffeyville, Kansas died Monday, August 17, 2009 at Windsor Place Nursing Center in Coffeyville. He was born May 24, 1920 in Kosciusko, Mississippi to Vernon McCool and Minnie Akins McCool. Ernest served his country in the Army from 1941 until 1945. He married Adeline Templeton in 1944. He worked for American Airlines as a mechanical inspector from 1953 until his retirement in 1985. Ernest and Adeline moved to Coffeyville from Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2005. He was a Mason, a Shriner and a Lutheran. Survivors include his wife Adeline, sons Ronnie McCool of Melbourne, Florida and William McCool of Tulsa, sisters Mildred Pierce of Sun Flower, Mississippi and Louise Morton of St. Charles, Arkansas, grandchildren: Bill Ed McCool of Tacoma, Washington, Kellie Ellis of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Edwin Ray McCool of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Bryan McCool of Melbourne, Florida, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews A memorial service will be held Friday, August 21, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Veterans Patio in Fairview Cemetery, Coffeyville, Kansas.
