Etta Latham

Etta Pearl Latham, 96, of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, died Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. Pearl was born October 13, 1912 at Wichita, Kansas to RobertBob Spivey and Ada Harp Spivey Ireland. She grew up and was educated in Wichita. Pearl married Raymond March on June 20, 1928 at Choctaw, Oklahoma. The couple
orced in 1950. In 1955, Pearl married Noel Latham in Texas. Mr. Latham preceded her in death on April 8, 1973. She and Noel owned and operated a Barber and Beauty Supply business in Oklahoma City and Shawnee, Oklahoma during the 1950s and 60s. Pearl also worked as a cook at a nursing home in Oklahoma City for many years and provided child care for many children, as well. Pearl moved to South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, then north to Coffeyville, Kansas and finally settled back south of the Oklahoma border in South Coffeyville. She was a member of Coffeyvilles Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses. Survivors include a son, Efton Ray March and his wife, Cedril Ann of Claremore, Oklahoma; three daughters, Ethel Hawley of Bethany, Oklahoma, Leone Ehart and her husband, Leslie of Coffeyville and Paula Latham of Edmond, Oklahoma; 16 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren. Pearl was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, RobertBuddy, Vernon and Marvin Dee March. Graveside services will be held, 2:00 P.M., Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Coffeyvilles Fairview Cemetery with Chuck Thomas, officiating. Service and interment are under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. Viewing and visitation will be from 9AM-8PM, Wednesday, with the family receiving guests from 6-8.
