Evelyn Davison (Hall) was born March 4, 1938, and transitioned to be with God on January 10, 2024, with family surrounding her by her bedside.
Evelyn was the only child born to Albert Hall and Frances (Banks) Hall, both parents have preceded her in death. She was born in Bernice Union, Louisiana, later moved to Coffeyville, Kansas, she attended Cleveland grade school and completed her education in Coffeyville.
As an adult Evelyn worked as a CNA at the Medicalodges Nursing Home, later she was employed at Western Publishing until the company shut down and that is where she retired. She was a faithful member and usher of Saint John Church of Faith until her illness failed her (she was also at times one of the loudest in church, maybe that's where her girls got it from).
Evelyn married James Davison and they shared many happy years together until his passing on October 31, 2020. Evelyn had six children: Garland Hall, who preceded her in death in 2018, Albert (Sharon) Woods of Topeka, Kansas, Anthony (Trish) Woods of Osawatomie, Kansas, Chris Woods of Coffeyville, Kansas, Frances (Bobby) Clemons of Coffeyville, Kansas, Deborah (Cordell) Reed-Johnson of Wichita, Kansas and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, and friends.
In July 2023, our Mommy declared to her girls that she was leaving this world in 6 months, and she did!! Evelyn answered too many names, by her children she was known as mom or mommy, her grandchildren called her granny, grandma, and MoMo. But her most recent name was to be called as "faithful servant " by her Lord and Savior saying well done!
Home Going Services for Evelyn Davison will be January 27, 2024, at 10 a.m. at St. John Church of Faith 602 W. Martin, in Coffeyville, with Pastor Purley Wilson officiating. Viewing is Friday January 26, 2024, from 6 p.m. 8 p.m. at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., in Coffeyville. The family request memorial contributions to be made payable to St. John Church of Faith in Evelyn’s memory.
