Frances Turney

FRANCES TURNEY 1920-2006 Frances Turney, age 85, died early Saturday morning, February 11, 2006 in the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in Coffeyville, Kansas. Frances was born August 15, 1920 to John Carson and Laura Frantz Carson. They preceded her in death. She married Coyle Turney on December 1, 1940 in the the parsonage of the Pleasant View Church of God. Her marriage to Coyle lasted for 65 years. Frances loved to sew. She was considered to be an excellent seamstress and cook. She also was a substitute teacher. She is survived by: Her husband: Coyle Turney. One son: Larry Turney Two daughters: Kathy Gillman and husband Billy Don Phyllis Willis and husband Bob. One brother: Warner Carson and wife Thelma. 9 Grandchildren; 16 Great Grandchildren Preceded in death by: Her parents; an infant brother, John; 1 grandson and a daughter-in-law. Calling hours will be Tuesday, February 14, 2006, 8am 9pm, at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel , 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas. Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2006, 11am, at the Lain Cemetery located 6 miles south of Valeda, Kansas. Dr. Wayne Norton will be officiating.
