Frank Arthur Denton, 70, of Coffeyville, passed away yesterday, May 29, 2008 at Windsor Place of Coffeyville. He was born April 28, 1938 at Sallisaw, OK to Oscar Grant Denton and Hester Campbell Denton. Frank attended Tyro Elementary School, Tyro, KS and Wayside High School, Wayside, KS. Frank served his country by enlisting in the U.S. Air Force. He was a lineman and retired from the Coffeyville City and Light Department. Frank was an avid fisherman and hunter. He is survived by one brother, James Grant Denton and wife, Pat of Muldrow, OK; one sister, Betty Waggoner of Austin, TX; two daughters, Lisa Ellis and husband, Bill of Tyro, KS and Gloria Denton Kerr of Panama City, FL; one son, Daniel Denton of Kansas City, MO; two step-daughters, Brenda Tibbets and husband, Jim of Coffeyville and Debbie Snider and husband, Clifton of South Coffeyville, OK; several foster children and many grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Frank, Jr.; two brothers, Bill and Jack Denton; one sister, Laurita Foxx; former wife, Lela Riley; one step-daughter, Billie Moulds Thomas; one step-granddaughter, Megan Thomas. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Penwell-Gabels Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Coffeyville, KS. Visitation hours will be today from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and tomorrow from 8 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel of Coffeyville. Memorials are suggested to be given to the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
