Frank Menefee

Frank Eugene Menefee Frank E. Menefee was born December 2, 1930 in Coffeyville to Earl C. and Opal L. Bevis Menefee. He died September 4, 2006 in Coffeyville. He was 75. Frank grew up and attended schools in Coffeyville and graduated from High School here. On July 28, 1951 he married Carol Fuller. The couple made their home in Coffeyville. He served in the United States Army from 1952 until his honorable discharge in 1954 during the Korean Conflict. During his tour he was stationed in Germany. Frank had worked for the City of Coffeyville as Sexton of the city cemeteries. He later worked for Restlawn Cemetery. Frank enjoyed fishing and camping. He loved to spend time with the grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all of his friends and family. He was a member of the Grace Fellowship Church of Coffeyville. Survivors include his loving wife Carol of the home, Sons and their wives, Earl and Connie Menefee and Mark and Teresa Menefee all of Coffeyville. Daughters and their husbands, Karen and Bill Baldwin of Delaware, Oklahoma; Kathy and Bernie Brehmer of Junction City, Kansas; Susan and Jimmy Adams of Delaware, Oklahoma and Mary and Bill Jaimez of Coffeyville. There are two sisters, Jennie Mae McCall of Neodesha, Kansas and Juanita Yeubanks of Overland Park, Kansas. There are 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. There are several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Laverne and Denzil Menefee and a grandchild. Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 8, 2006 at the Grace Fellowship Church. Pastor Gerald Morris will officiate and buril will follow with Military Honors in Penwell-Gabels Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 9 am until 9 pm at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel to sign the guest register. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to the Grace Fellowship Building Fund 2455 Woodland Ave. Coffeyville, Kansas 67337.
