Garl Richard Davidson, Sr., 65, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away early Friday morning, August 26, 2011 at his home. Garl was born on August 4, 1946 in Coffeyville, Kansas to George A. and Ruby Goldsberry Davidson. The family moved to Mankato, Minnesota soon after he was born and they lived there until Garl was four years old. The family moved back to Coffeyville where he attended Coffeyville schools. Garl married Linda Hannah and the couple later divorced. He married Shirley Geeding and the couple later divorced. In 1987 he was united in marriage to Lea Shirley she survives of the home. He worked at Acme Foundry, Coffeyville Flour Mill and worked for Pressure Cast for 29 years. Garl was a member of the Abundant Life Temple. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and tormenting the girls and spending time with his friends. He was loved by everyone and will be missed dearly. He is survived by his wife, Lea sons, Tracy Davidson of Lenapah, Oklahoma, Garl Richard Davidson, Jr. of Mulvane, Kansas stepsons, Allen Toliver of Ozark, Missouri, Steve Toliver of Ramona, Oklahoma stepdaughter, Julie Fricke of Coffeyville, Kansas brother, Gary Davidson of Miami, Oklahoma sister, Glenda Smith of League City, Texas four granddaughters one grandson ten stepgrandsons four stepgranddaughters and sixteen greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Ruby brothers, George and Gail Davidson. Graveside services will be held Monday, August 29, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Robbins Cemetery, west of Coffeyville. Friends may call on Sunday, August 28, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville to sign the guest register.
