Gary Gruber

Gary Edward Gruber, 61, and a lifelong resident of Coffeyville, Kansas, died Monday evening, August 8, 2011 at Windsor Place Care Center, Coffeyville. Gary was born May 17, 1950 at Coffeyville to Merle Edward Gruber and June McNabb Gruber. He graduated from Field Kindley High School and went on to attend MidAmerica Nazarene College at Bethany, Oklahoma. Gary returned to Coffeyville and worked at a service station until his health would no longer allow it. Gary was a member of Coffeyvilles First Church of the Nazarene and of all the many things he enjoyed in life, he loved singing the most. He is survived by his brother, Jerry Gruber and his wife, Sue of Coffeyville. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, with his mothers passing in January 2011. He was also preceded by a sister, Carol June Gruber. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 12, 2011 at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel with Rev. Ford Hall officiating. Interment will be in Coffeyvilles Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of PenwellGabel Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be Thursday, 9 a.m. 8 p.m., with the family receiving guests at the funeral home from6 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the First Church of the Nazarene and donations may be left at the funeral home.
