Geneva O. Wilson, 86, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed from this life on April 4, 2008 at Medicalodges Coffeyville. Geneva was born on November 1, 1921 in Marshfield, MO, the daughter of Lon and Orpha Rost Farr. She was raised and attended rural country schools in Marshfield and on March 8, 1947 married Otis E. Wilson of Coffeyville. Mr. Wilson passed 2 weeks before their 50th Anniversary on February 22, 1997. She was employed by Continental Can Co., Butchers Market, Georges Cafeteria, and was self employed in the family business of Wilson Tire until she and Otis retired in 1996. Mrs. Wilson was a member of the First Baptist Church of South Coffeyville. She enjoyed playing games at the Senior Citizens Center in South Coffeyville, gardening, spending time with her family, grandchildren, and her cat, Sissy. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews, and brother and sister-in-laws and always spoke fondly of her memories with them. Surviving to honor her memory is her son, Jim Wilson and wife, Karen of South Coffeyville, OK; son, Ron Wilson of Caney, KS; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Elston Farr; and two sisters, Freda Terry and Jessie Boyce. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel in Coffeyville with Rev. Fred Lamb officiating. Friends may call at the chapel to sign the guest register on Tuesday, 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the South Coffeyville Fire Dept. Auxiliary in care of Penwell-Gabel.
