Genevieve G. Moses Age 91, of Coffeyville, Kansas died Saturday, March 19, 2005 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Moses was born January 6, 1914 in Walnut, Kansas to Will and MaryMayme Winifred Wilson Gibson. She grew up in the Chanute area, attending St. Patricks Elementary and graduating from Chanute High School. Mrs. Moses was also a 2 year post-graduate. She was employed by Medicalodges, Inc. as a sanitation inspector. On October 4, 1934 she married James B. Moses. He preceded her in death January 1981. Mrs. Moses was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church. She is survived by: four sons, James B. Moses, of Olayton, KY Bill Moses, of Coffeyville, KS IraSonny Moses, of Coffeyville, KS David Moses, of Coffeyville, KS five daughters, Mary D. Peters, of Tulsa, OK Kay Houston, of Edna, KS Karen Law, of Grove, OK Michelle Hoggatt, of Coffeyville, KS Patti Moses, of Coffeyville, KS 31 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Moses is also preceded in death by her parents; one son, John D. Moses; two brothers, Marion Gibson and George Gibson. Funeral mass will be celebrated 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 23 at the Holy Name Catholic Church followed by burial in Elmwood Cemetery, both of Coffeyville. Father Mike Maybrier will officiate. A Rosary service will be held Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. at Holy Name Catholic Church. Friends may call at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel Tuesday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Holy Name Catholic School and may be left at the funeral home.
