George Tesh 1924 - 2006 George Tesh, age 81, Formerly of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2006 at the Cherryvale Care Center, Cherryvale, Kansas. George was born at home August 21, 1924, in Coffeyville, Kansas the son of Rufus Silas and Anna Beata Hamilton Tesh. He had lived in the same home his entire life. Mr. Tesh served in the U.S. Navy during W.W. II. After returning from the Navy he returned to his former employer Sturm Fixture in Coffeyville. He was later self employed until his retirement in 2000. He married Kathleen Rose Ralston May 6, 1951, in Coffeyville. She passed away December 29, 1994. Other survivors include: 2 Sons: Mark Tesh Caney, Kansas Timothy Tesh South Coffeyville, Oklahoma 2 Daughters: Deborah Peterson Newton, Kansas Linda Briggs Coffeyville, Kansas 2 Sisters: Dorothy Hodson Austin, Texas Ruth Snider Bird Island Afton, Oklahoma He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, five brothers and two sisters. A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2006, at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home. The burial will follow the service at the Fairview City Cemetery Cemetery. Mr. Tesh will lie in state from 1-9:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 7-8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society and left in care of the funeral home.
