Georgia Moomaw

Georgia Iona Moomaw, 83, of Coffeyville, Kansas, passed away Monday, January 5, 2009 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. Georgia was born on August 12, 1925, in Conway Springs, Kansas, the daughter of George and Hesper Wynell Cease. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, the V.F.W. Post No. 1022, American Legion Post No. 20, and the Eagles. Georgia is survived by her children, Barbara Sauer, Jane Shufeldt, Christine Felton, and Markita Maggard, 6 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Moomaw. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 9, 2009 at Fairview Cemetery, Coffeyville, Kansas. Friends may call 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to Trinity United Methodist Church in care of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home.
