Gerald "Jerry" Ray Striplin, age 74 passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at his home in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Jerry was born on December 31, 1943 to Charles and Lenora Striplin in St Louis, Missouri. He had six siblings, Charles Striplin, Richard Striplin, Kenny Striplin, Rhoda (Striplin) Vaniter, Linda Striplin and Bonnie (Striplin) Horn.
Jerry was married to Connie Oller on May 26, 1990 in Lewiston, Maine, he was an Army Veteran and worked as a truck driver, in construction and as a millwright.
Jerry was a loving father of six children, Rex Allen Striplin and his wife Marci, of Yuma, Arizona; Gary Jones and his wife Stacy of Harleton, Texas; Marsha Striplin of Jesup, Georgia; Angie and husband Jason Kendrick of Coffeyville, Kansas; and Jay Striplin of Dallas, Texas. He was a wonderful Grandpa to eighteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lenora, his son Jacob Joseph Worley and two granddaughters, Morgan Olivia, Kait Lynn Watkins.
Jerry was a wonderful man and will be missed by many, a Memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Noon at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas, Chaplain Mike Graham with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice officiating, the family will receive friends from 10am until service time at the Chapel.
