Glenda Jean Lewis, 64, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012 at CRMC. Glenda was born on January 1, 1948 in Nowata, Oklahoma to Glenn and Betty Swalley Smith. She grew up in Coffeyville where she attended James School, Field Kindley Memorial High School and Coffeyville Community College. After receiving her Associates Degree, Glenda went on to Pittsburgh State University where she achieved her Bachelors in Science. In 1987 she began her relationship with Jess Miranda, the couple made their home in Coffeyville. Glenda had worked for Aptus for many years. She recently worked for Country Mart grocery store. Her biggest passion was selling Avon, which she sold for many years. Glenda enjoyed reading, quilting, attending auctions, shopping at antique stores and had a knack for online auctions on E bay. Most of all she enjoyed the time she spent with her family. She was a loving, caring person and a wonderful mother. Surviving to honor her memory are her husband, Jess Miranda of the home son, John Lewis and girlfriend Jessica of Coffeyville daughters, Donna Lewis of Coffeyville, Amy Lewis of Independence, Kansas, Heather Loomis of Coffeyville, Amanda Lewis of the home mother, Betty Smith of Coffeyville sisters, Sherry Seaton, Linda Ross, Stacey Maris, Vickie Clyde Vail all of Coffeyville eleven grandchildren with one on the way and eleven greatgrandchildren with one on the way. She was preceded in death by her father, Glenn and greatgrandson, Joseph Johnson. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery Veterans Patio. Friends may call on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Funeral Home to sign the guest register from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice these may be left with the funeral home.
