Glenn Barlow

Glenn Lee Barlow, age 85 of Coffeyville, passed away on December 22, 2021 at his home in the arms of his loving wife, Jackie.
Glenn was born on November 14, 1936 in Coffeyville to William and Sylvia (Hurst) Barlow. He grew up in Coffeyville attending local schools and graduating from Field Kindley High School. After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Navy. While stationed on the East Coast,  a shipmate introduced him to his cousin, Jacquelin Black. Jackie was cooking for her family that evening and little did she know then, that meal would eventually lead to 62 years of marriage. The couple married on January 23, 1959 and by 1968 were the parents of six children. After retiring from the Navy with a honorable discharge, Glenn moved his family back to his hometown. In the years that followed, Glenn earned his associates degree from Coffeyville Community Junior College and found employment with the Morrow Foundry, Funks Manufacturing, Maintenance USD 445, and ARCO. Glenn enjoyed fishing, horse racing, casinos, watching sports and westerns, and traveling to Louisiana to enjoy the music, seafood, and Cajun food. He was a proud man, a dependable man with an impressive work ethic. Although a quiet man, he had a great sense of humor. Glenn also spent many hours helping with the activities at the VFW and was a proud member of the Funeral Honor Guard.
Glenn’s memories will live on with his wife Jackie, children; Lori McGowan, Terri McFarland (Larry Kucinick), Glenna Broadwell (James), Douglas Barlow (Heidi Padron), and Phillip Barlow. Glenn is also survived by his brother Bill Weintz (Barbara) and sister-in-law Melba Barlow, 9 grandchildren, and a growing number of great-grandchildren, as well as, many nephews and nieces (including his favorite niece Brenda Barlow Mitchell).
He now rests with his parents, son Robert Barlow, his siblings; Billy Barlow, Ronnie Barlow, Gene Barlow and Betty Cowdin and grandson Gage Douglas Barlow.
