Glenna Mae Folk, 77, of Tyro, passed away Monday, January 21, 2008 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, OK after a sudden stroke. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 24, 2008 at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel in Coffeyville. Interment will follow in Fawn Creek Cemetery, Tyro, KS. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home; where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given in Glennas name to the American Cancer Society. Glenna was born February 4, 1930 in Douglas County, MO, the daughter of Marlow and Gladys Smallwood. She attended grade school in Tyro and graduated from Coffeyville High School. She married Carl Oliver Folk of Tyro, KS. They made their home in Tyro their entire lives. He preceded her in death in 1986. Glenna was a Dietary Manager at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center for 17 years. She was a lifelong member of Tyro Christian Church and a member of the National Dietary Management Association. Surviving to honor her memory are her children Richard Folk and wife, Debbie of Caney, and Carla Sullivan and husband, Kenneth of Havana, KS; grandsons, Kirk Folk of Fort Worth, TX and Seth Folk of Caney, granddaughter Micca Sullivan of Mount Pleasant, TX, two great-granddaughters, sister, Helen White of Hood River, OR; and her beloved Dachshund, Scamper. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Donald Smallwood of Tyro.
