Goldie Isabell Wall, age 96, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas with the Reverend Jamie Regis of the Dearing Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Chetopa Cemetery under the direction of the FordWulfBruns Chapel.
Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at the FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas. Online condolences may be left for the at fordwulfbrunsfuneralhome.com
The family has suggested memorials to the Dearing Christian Church or the Gideon Bibles and contributions may be left at the FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville.
Goldie was born October 24, 1916 in rural Craig County, Oklahoma to William Clarence and Grace Alberta Waybright Fromm. She grew up in Craig County and graduated from the Pokatello, Idaho High School in 1934. She then attended the Miami, Oklahoma Business College.
In 1938 Goldie married Tollie J. Arnold in Miami, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on April 30, 1956. In 1963 Goldie married William D. Wall in Miami, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on July 18, 2001. Goldie worked at a Pharmacy in Miami, Oklahoma and then as a Secretary for the Superintendent of schools in Bentonville, Arkansas until her retirement. She was the treasure for the State School System in Arkansas. Goldie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Miami, Oklahoma, Eastern Star, Oklahoma Southern Baptist Association and was very active in the ministry with her husband Bill at all the churches he was the minister. Goldie was also a member of the Dearing Christian Church.
Survivors include one son Darrel Arnold and wife Charlotte of Coffeyville, Kansas two step daughters Judy Van Blarcum husband Cecil of Peculiar, Missouri, Jan Olen husband Marlin of Escondido, California one sister Nina L. Arnold of Chetopa, Kansas two granddaughters Tollie Haymaker and husband Tom of Coffeyville, Kansas and Tonya Arbeitman and husband Andy of DeSoto, Missouri six grandchildren, Bradley Haymaker, Christopher Haymaker, Douglas Haymaker, Gabrielle Arbeitman, Elijah Arbeitman, and Halle Arbeitman. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Tollie Arnold, and William Bill Wall, her parents W.C and Grace Fromm.
