Harold Anderson Brown Jr, known to his friends as Brownie age 64, of Coffeyville, passed away on June 27, 2016 at his home.
Brownie was born in Independence on November 10, 1951 to Harold Anderson Brown Sr and Eva Ruth (Smith). He started school in independence until the family moved to Cherryvale where he graduated. After school he attended trade schools and began working for various employers, such as Funks Manufacturing, Carter Automotive, Keith Construction, Jet Valve, and he has been with the city of Coffeyville for the past 18 years. Brownie met Ellen Louise Gifford in Cherryvale and the couple was married in 1970, she preceded him in death in 2010. Later that year he met Brenda Dumler and they married that year. Brownie loved the outdoors, fishing, raising puppies to be service dogs, and working on anything that had a motor. He was a genuine man, always honest, happy, positive, funny, true, and kind. When he would meet a stranger they didn't just meet him they experienced him. Brownie was a Christian. He loved the Lord and enjoyed attending church and Bible study.
Brownie and Brenda have a blended family of 5 whom survive; they are sons David Brown (Cady), Danny Brown (Nicole), Eric Dumler, daughters Jaynann Dumler, and Julie Fuller (Shane), wife Brenda of the home, sister Esther O'Brien, grandchildren Sienna Brown, Anna Foreman, and Layla Fuller. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ellen, and sister Marie Bramble
Funeral services honoring his life will be held on Friday July 1, 2016 at Westside Christian Church at 11:00 am with Pastor Mike Elrod officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale. Friends are invited to sign the register and share memories with the family on Thursday June 30, 2016 at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. The family suggests memorials to CARES Inc, which provide service animals to those in need and they may be left in care of the Chapel.
