Harold Kuehn

Harold Martin Kuehn, age 88, of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma died Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the St. Pauls Lutheran Church with the Pastor Richard Peckman officiating. Burial will follow in the Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Rites by Coffeyville VFW Post 1022 under the direction of the FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Visitation hours will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 12, 2012 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the FordWulfBurns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas.
The family has suggested memorials to the St. Pauls Lutheran Church and contributions may be left at the FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Harold was born November 12, 1923 in Chelsea, Oklahoma to Ernest and Alma Bachelman Kuehn. Harold grew up in the Coffeyville area attending Lutheran School in Haven and Coffeyville and public school in Cheney before graduating from Field Kindley High School in 1941. On July 18, 1944 Harold entered the United States Army serving during World War II until his honorable discharge on June 30, 1946.
On December 21, 1944 Harold married Edith Elma Yeubanks in Coffeyville, Kansas. The couple made their home East of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma and in their current residence for 57 years. Harold worked in the Coffeyville Packing Company for 20 years before working as a Rural Mail Carrier in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma for 20 years retiring in 1984 to stay home and work on the ranch. He was a member of the St. Pauls Lutheran Church and his hobbies were hunting, fishing, raising buffalo, and playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Edith of the home two sons Stephen Kuehn of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, Danny and wife Sharon Kuehn of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma two daughters Sharilyn and husband Dean Kastler and Janice Summers both of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma one brother Vernon Kuehn of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma nine grandchildren Eric and wife Pam George, Brenda and husband Justin Taylor, Bradley Kuehn, Josh Summers, Amber and husband Mike Lowrey, Brandon Kuehn, Stephanie and husband David Oldhom, Keith and wife Lisa Kuehn and Jennifer and husband Justin Buckley 29 great grandchildren. Harold was preceded in death by eight siblings, Walter, Edna, Alvin, Deana, Marvin, Ervin, Raymond and Jr.
