Obituary Harvie E. Jones Niotaze resident, Harvie E. Jones, entered into rest Wednesday, June 28, 2006 in Sedan. He was 85. He was born December 13, 1920 in Peru, Kansas to Dean Harvie Jones and Elsie Mae Chance Jones. He was born and raised in Peru, Kansas. Mr. Jones attended Peru schools as a child. In 1938 he graduated from Peru High School. He joined the U.S. Marine Corp. from 1942 - 1946. He served during WWII in the Pacific. On November 2, 1948 he married Alpha Alma Ledbetter in Sedan, Kansas. He was a concrete finisher for Tex Tannahill for 12 years in Bartlesville, Oklahoma when he retired due to an accident. Survivors include: 1 brother, Leo Ray Jones, Harper, Kansas 1 sister, Mary Ring, Odessa, MO He was preceded in death by his parents, His wife Alpha Alma Jones on April 18, 2005 and 1 brother - Harold. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 1, 2006 in the Fairview Cemetery in Niotaze, Kansas. Friends may call on Friday 9 am until 9 pm at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home to sign the guest register. Memorials may be made to Harry Hines Hospice 1411 W. 4th St. Bldg.
