Hayden Lockey Wells 1917 2006 Hayden Lockey Wells, age 89 entered into rest on October 28, 2006 at his Coffeyville, Kansas residence. Hayden was born on June 20, 1917 to George Wells and Della Duree Wells in Canute, Oklahoma. He was a 1937 graduate of Seminole High School, Seminole, Oklahoma. On December 25, 1941 he married Clara Leota Richardson at Oakman, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on October 7, 1992. Following their marriage the couple lived in Seminole and Konawa, Oklahoma before moving to Coffeyville, Kansas in August, 1951. Mr. Wells worked for George Cushman Chevrolet and Perl Chevrolet until his retirement in 1982 as a Body Shop Foreman. He enlisted in the US States Army at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma April 2, 1942. He was a WW II Veteran and was honorably discharged on Sept. 27, 1945 at Camp Chaffee, Arkansas. Mr. Wells was a member of the Emmanuel Southern Baptist Church, Coffeyville, KS. Survivors include: Two sons, Hayden Lewis Wells, Concord, Ca.; James Lee Wells, Lake Havasu City, Az. One daughter, Sondra Kay Luker, Coffeyville, Ks. One sister, Wanda Heffington, Fitzpatrick, Al. Four Grandchildren, Eight Great Grandchildren and Two Step Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Howard and Harold Wells. Friends may call at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas on Thursday, November 2, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 3, 2006 at the Emmanuel Southern Baptist Church, Coffeyville, Kansas. Pastor Wayne Martin will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Coffeyville, KS. Memorial contributions may be given to the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice co Penwell-Gabel F.H.
