Obituary Mrs. Hazel Leona Holderbaum entered into eternal rest on May 20, 2006 in Independence. She was 85. Hazel was born May 1, 1921 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Sam and Leota Lyons Robinett She attended Coffeyville schools. On June 7, 1940 she was united in marriage to Prince Holderbaum. They were married in South Coffeyville. Most of her married life Hazel was a homemaker although she worked away from the home for a couple of years working at the Goldies Pie Shop. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her loving daughters, Shirley and husband Kenneth McCartney of Coffeyville and Mildred Burris of Independence; four grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, a brother Floyd Robinett and a sister Opal Eubanks both of Coffeyville. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Prince Holderbaum, sisters, Fern Tabor and Gertie Crabtree; three brothers Marion, Albert and Howard Robinett and a son-in-law Robert Burris. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 24, 2006 in the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. Pastor Gary Stevens will officiate and burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Kenneth, Mike, Nick, and Terry McCartney, Quentin Rexwinkle and Mark Torkelson. Friends may call on Monday beginning at 5 pm until 9 pm and Tuesday 9 am-9 pm at the funeral home to sign the guest register. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Disease, Kansas State Assn.
