Helen Phillips

Helen G. Phillips, 82, of Coffeyville, passed away July 10, 2008 at CRMC. Helen was born on May 17, 1926 in Sallisaw, OK, the daughter of Alvin and Maudie Webb Parker. She grew up in Sallisaw and later moved to Coffeyville at the age of 13. She married Wesley E. Phillips on February 19, 1944 in South Coffeyville, OK. He preceded her in death on February 15, 1977. Helen was a longtime member of the Lewark Church of God of Coffeyville. Surviving to honor her memory are her children; Diana S. Twitchell, Rick Phillips, and Ben Phillips, all of Coffeyville, KS, and Roger Phillips of Rockport, TX; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, and one sister, Mamie Cessna of Lenapah, OK. Also preceding her in death are her children, Brenda Elaine Pickelsimer and Jerry Wade Phillips, three sisters, and two brothers. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2008 at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel of Coffeyville, KS. Interment will follow in Penwell-Gabels Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Coffeyville, KS. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. where the family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. that evening. Memorial contributions may be given to the Lewark Church of God of Coffeyville in care of the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home.
