HELEN JEAN ROBINSON 1931 2006 Helen Jean Robinson, age 74, died early Sunday evening, March 19, 2006 at her home in Nowata, Oklahoma. She was born December 11, 1931 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Oliver Lay and Lucy Russell Lay. Jean married C. V. Robby Robinson February 17, 1949 in Coffeyville, Kansas. He survives in the home. Jean attended schools in Coffeyville. She loved to cook and sew. She was very active in 4-H, earning a lot of ribbons and awards for her efforts. She was employed as an administrative assistant with the SEK Senior Services. Jean was very active with the Altar Society at the Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville. Jean and Cecil served as Foster Parents and later adopted some of the children they took care of. She loved children and her family was very important to her. Survivors include: Husband: C.V. Robinson of Nowata, Oklahoma. One Daughter: Tammy Dickson of Coffeyville, Kansas. 7 Grandchildren: Megan Goodwin, Crystal White, Patrick Robinson Rachel Simmons, Toby Grigg, Jenson Robinson, Lane Dickson 2 Great Grandchildren: Briar Goodwin, Bailey Cessna Preceded in death by: Her Parents 3 Sons: Steve, Bill and Tom Robinson 2 Brothers: Alfred and Bill Lay 2 Sisters: Jewell Wiggins and Pauline Brinkman Calling hours will be from 8am to 9pm, Thursday, March 23, 2006 at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel in Coffeyville. A Rosary will be held 6pm, Thursday, March 23, 2006 at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel in Coffeyville. Funeral Services will be held 10am, Friday, March 24, 2006 at the Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville. Father Jerome Spexarth will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery in Coffeyville. Memorials may be given to the American cancer Society or the Holy Name Catholic Church co Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel.
