Helen L. Warren, 86, of Coffeyville, Ks passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011. Helen was born on February 5, 1924 in Coffeyville, Ks to Dick and Irma Foland Richards. She grew up in Coffeyville where she completed her education at Field Kindley High School. She went on to attend the local community college where she received her associates degree. In 1943 she was united in marriage to Norman D. Warren in California. The couple made their home in Coffeyville, Ks. After thirteen years of marriage the couple later divorced. Helen worked at numerous local businesses throughout her life she started at Continental Can, then worked for Winston Insurance, Nutrena Mills and was a secretary at Watco for over twenty years until her retirement in 1999. She was a lifetime member of the PTA and the First United Methodist Church in Coffeyville. She enjoyed playing bingo, cards, bowling and trips to Vegas to visit the casinos. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. Surviving to honor her memory are her children, David L. Warren of Coffeyville, Karen I. Herriman and husband, Ronnie of South Coffeyville, Ok, Cheryl D. Warren of Coffeyville six grandchildren and ten greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Irma sons, RichardDick Warren and Jerry Alan Warren sister,Irene Bolen and three grandchildren, Richard Dean II, Jason and Joshua Warren. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville. Reverend James Feltner will officiate. Friends may call on Monday, January 24, 2011 from 10 am until 5 pm to sign the guest register at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association. These may be left with the funeral home.
