Irene Elizabeth Beaumont age 92, of Longton, KS, passed away on May 2, 2017 surrounded by her family at the home of her granddaughter Crystal Wonser of Independence KS.
Irene was born on July 26, 1924 in Bonner Springs KS. to Daisy Etta Hooker. She attended a country school in rural Oklahoma where Irene completed the 6th Grade, later in 1985 she received her GED. Irene was married to Lacey Albert; he preceded her in death in 1958. The couple was blessed with a son (Frank) and two daughters (Virgie and Cathy). She was then united in marriage to George Beaumont; he preceded Irene in death in 1991. To this union the couple was blessed with a son (Brian).
Irene spent her time being a mother and grandmother, taking care of the needs of the home and farm. She enjoyed her grandchildren, cooking, sewing, crocheting, tending to her flower beds, writing songs and poems, attending church and most of all reading her Bible. She was a member of the Helping Hand Club and started a kids group at her church called, "Candles". Irene will be remembered by her contagious smile, her loving hugs, and most of all for her genuine kind heart. Irene loved God, her children, her grandchildren, and her community.
Her memories will live on through her daughter; Cathy Satterfield of Greenfield Mo. son; Brian Beaumont his wife Brenda of Longton KS. , 21 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, 28 great-great-grandchildren
Irene now rests with God her heavenly father, her father and mother "Daisy Fuller"; Two brothers, Leroy and Bobby Fuller and sister Maryann Fuller. Husband: Lacy Albert, son; Frank Albert and daughter Virgie Hunter. Husband George Beaumont.
A funeral service under the direction of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the Elk Valley High School Gymnasium at 2:00pm, interment will follow at the Longton Cemetery. Friends are invited to sign the register and greet the family on Friday, May 5, 2017 at the Longton Christian Community Church from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. The family suggests memorials be made payable to "Longton Christian Community Church". Contributions may be sent in care of "Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel", 2405 Woodland Ave. Coffeyville, KS. 67337.
