Izetta G.Ike DempseyEpps, 81, of Tulsa, Oklahoma and formerly of Coffeyville, Kansas died Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Oklahoma University Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born February 26, 1929 in Coffeyville, Kansas to George W. Piner and Mildred Albright. Ike graduated from Field Kindley High School in 1946, where she was a member of the Field Kindley High School Drum and Bugle Corps from 1944 to 1946. She also attended and graduated from Coffeyville Community college in 1948. Ike moved to Tulsa in 1973 and worked for Yellow Front Sales and Rentals for twentyeight years. She was preceded in death by her first husband Carl Dempsey in October 1957 and second husband Walter Epps. Ike is survived by sons Mark R. Dempsey and wife Jane of Tulsa, Jeffry H. Dempsey and wife Patricia of Melbourne, Florida, grandchildren: Jason and wife Ashley,of Melbourne, Florida, Jennifer Mitz and husband Alex of West Melbourne, Florida and Amber Dempsey, of Melbourne, Florida, Carter Dempsey and wife Tammy, Matthew Dempsey and one greatgrandchild. She is also survived by numerous loving and caring friends who will miss her love, laughter and friendship. Funeral services for Izetta G.Ike DempseyEpps will be held at 2:00p.m. on Friday, June 25, 2010 at PenwellGabel Funeral Home in Coffeyville. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 10:00a.m. until service time.
