Jackie D.Jack Hare, 70, Coffeyville, Kansas, died Monday night, October 3, 2011 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. Jack was born October 28, 1940 at Childers, Oklahoma to Albert William Hare and Ethel Mae Beyen Hare. He grew up in northeastern Oklahoma, attending South Coffeyville Grade School and Lenapah High School. Jack worked as a roustabout for Basinger Oil Company at Nowata, Oklahoma. He then entered the United States Air Force in July of 1958, serving in New Mexico, Germany and Africa. Jack received his honorable discharge in April of 1963. Following his return from military service, he worked for MampM Contractors. Jack married Penelope SuePenny Carns on June 21, 1965 at Miami, Oklahoma. He attended McFarland Trade School and the Hares made their home in Coffeyville, Kansas, where Jack worked for Funk Manufacturing Company from 1966 to his retirement in 1996. He loved to hunt and fish and ride his motorcycle. Jack also enjoyed spending time playing with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Penny of the home one daughter, Jacque Jean Linnebur and her husband, Lance of Parsons, Kansas four grandchildren, Will Leaman and his wife, Meagan, Haley Leaman, Jacob Linnebur and Jesse Linnebur and two greatgrandchildren, Brett and Brooke Leaman. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Albert William Hare, Jr. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 6, 2011 at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel. Interment will follow in the Garden of Peace at Coffeyvilles Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of PenwellGabel Funeral Home amp Crematory. Visitation will be 18pm, Wednesday at the funeral home.
