Jackie Thomas Perkins Jack Wann, Oklahoma resident JackieThomasPerkins Jack died on Saturday, February 24, 2007 in Caney. He was 80. He was born August 21, 1926 in Coffeyville to Leonard Franklin and Pearl Shook Perkins. Jack grew up in the Wann, Oklahoma area and remained there all of his life. Jack served in the United States Army during WWII. On November 27, 1953 he married Virginia Roberts in Independence, Kansas. They raised crops, cows and kids. He was a member of the Lions Club, the VFW, and had served on the Kanoma Board of Trustees. Survivors include his sons Jack Perkins, Jr. of the home, Roger Perkins and wife Ann of Wann, Oklahoma, Carl and wife Katherine of Spring Hill, Kansas and Brian Perkins of Hastings, Nebraska. There are three grandchildren, Tracey and wife Ranae of Wann, Oklahoma and Crystal and Jerry of Sallisaw, Oklahoma and Jenny of Springhill, Kansas. There are also three great-grandchildren, Ronnie and Tucker of Wann, Oklahoma and Jerry Jr. of Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Virginia on August 27, 1993 and four brothers, Ralph, Charles, Gene and Art Perkins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 in the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral home Chapel. Pastor Mike Graham of Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice will officiate. Burial will follow in the Robbins Cemetery just west of Coffeyville with military graveside rites to be conducted by the V.F.W. Post 1022 of Coffeyville. Friends may call on Tuesday, February 27, 2007 from 10 am until 9 pm at the funeral home to sign the guest register and the family will receive friends from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm Tuesday evening.
