James Hull

James Jim R. Hull lifelong resident of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013 at the age of 87 at CRMC.

Jim was born on October 3, 1926 in Chanute, Kansas to Melvin and Geneva McDonald Hull. He grew up in Coffeyville where he attended rural Cedar Bluff School then graduated from Field Kindley Memorial High School in 1944. After graduation he served his country in the United States Army as a Rifle Trainer, earning the rank of Staff Sergeant. While in the Army, Jim received a year of college education from the University of Wyoming. He was later honorably discharged from Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas.

On April 18, 1949 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, C. Pauline Pendergraft in Van Buren, Arkansas. The couple made their home in Coffeyville, Kansas. Jim worked for Jensens sold Real Estate with Ogle Harden owned Aluminum Products and worked for Funk Manufacturing until his retirement. He also owned several Rental Properties.

He was a member of the American Legion, and enjoyed his horses, hunting, fishing and gardening. Jim was very mechanically inclined and did a lot of remodeling around the home. Most of all he enjoyed the time he spent with his family.

Surviving to honor his memory are his loving wife, Pauline of the home daughters, Deborah Moore and husband, Mark of Edmond, Oklahoma, Vickie Brinkman and husband, Rick of Coffeyville, Kansas grandchildren, Chris Adamson and wife, Lisie of Woodland Hills, California, James Adamson and wife, Shea of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Katie Calder of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Matthew Brinkman of Coffeyville, Kansas great grandsons, Luke, Grady, Everet, and Alex Adamson great granddaughter, Avery Adamson, one great granddaughter on the way and a sister, Dona Keith of Baxter Springs, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Geneva.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas. Reverend Mark Wilson will officiate. Friends may call on Monday, December 23, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at FordWulfBruns Chapel to sign the guest register. The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the American Lung Association or the Leukemia Lymphoma Society these may also be left with the funeral home.
