Janice Louise Richardson, 77, of South Coffeyville, OK went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 1, 2025.
Janice was born March 11, 1947 to Willard Allen Smith and Martha May (Connor) Smith in Coffeyville. She grew up in the area and attended Coffeyville Schools. On April 15, 1963 she married the love of her life Bruce Charlton Richardson. They moved to Tulsa where they started a family and had two sons James Allen Richardson and Brian Bruce Richardson. Janice was a homemaker until Brian started school and began working when the family moved back to South Coffeyville in 1977. She worked many years at George’s Cafeteria in Coffeyville, KS as the Waitress Floor Supervisor. Janice left George’s Cafeteria shortly before it closed and worked many years as a cashier at Walmart. Her final job was working at South Coffeyville School in the cafeteria.
Janice had many hobbies over the years. She liked to sew and make clothes, painted Native American ceramics and also enjoyed crocheting. She enjoyed going with Bruce and the family to car shows. For many years, she went on extended camping and fishing trips with family and friends. Most of all, Janice loved spending time with her family.
Janice is survived by her son Brian and wife Monica, daughter Beth Benson and Larry Wargula, grandchildren Tiffany Richardson, Matt Richardson and wife Stacy, Tracey Lovelace and husband Jake, Rachel Richardson and Tyler Johnson, Lauren Ramirez (Richardson) and husband Alvaro, and JT Richardson, great-grandchildren Sarah Lane, Marissa Lane, James Richardson and Dean Lovelace.
Janice was preceded in death by her father Willard Smith, mother Martha Smith (Connor), husband Bruce Richardson and her oldest son James Allen Richardson.
Services will be at the Coffeyville First Assembly of God in Coffeyville, KS at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 7, 2025 with Pastor Randy DePreist Officiating. Burial following at the North Edna Cemetery in Edna, KS. Friends are invited to sign the register and greet the family on Thursday, Feb 6 at the Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
