Jarrett Doph Collins, age 64, of Coffeyville, Kansas died Sunday, May 12, 2013 at his home in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas with the Chaplain Mike Graham of Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice officiating.
Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 16, 2013 at the Siloam Springs Cemetery in Siloam Springs, Missouri under the direction of the FordWulfBruns Chapel.
The family has suggested memorials to the American Legion and contributions may be left at the FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Jarrett was born April 4, 1949 in West Plains, Missouri to Dophis and Leah Sue Stubbs Collins. He grew up in West Plains and Willow Springs, Missouri. Jarrett graduated from Willow Springs High School. He served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge in 1971. Jarrett worked at Ralston which is now Nestles in Kansas City, Missouri for 13 years. After moving to Coffeyville, Kansas Jarrett worked at ACME Foundry until 1977. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion.
On May 31st, 1985 Jarrett married Mary Alston in Coffeyville, Kansas where the couple made their home.
Survivors include wife Mary of the home Mother Leah Sue Collins of Willow Springs, Missouri one daughter Jennie L. Alexander and husband Norman Skip of Independence, Missouri two step daughters Tammie Lock and husband Steve of Tahlequah, Oklahoma and Ronda Perkins and husband Chris of Coffeyville, Kansas three brothers Carlson, Teddy and Rusty Collins all of Missouri three sisters Alda, Lisa and Losetta also of Missouri nephew Dale Alston of Coffeyville, Kansas 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
