Jean C. Aduddell Age 89, of Coffeyville, Kansas died early Monday morning, January 3, 2005 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, Coffeyville, Kansas. She was born April 17, 1915 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Roscoe and Jessie Matt Haugland Hopkins. She was raised by her mother, uncle and aunt, Dr. and Mrs. Clement Grigsby in the family home at 415 W. 9th. She was a 1932 graduate of Field Kindley Memorial High School. She went on to graduate from Coffeyville Junior College 1934. She eloped to Vinita, Oklahoma with Stephen Edward Aduddell on November 2, 1934. Mr. Aduddell was a school teacher, principal, grain merchant and real estate salesman all in Coffeyville. He was also active on many local and state civic boards. He preceded her in death April 1, 1995 after 60 years of marriage. Mrs. Aduddell was a life time member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Coffeyville. She was also active in Earnest Workers and Red Cross Grey Ladies. Her hobbies included playing cards and traveling. She was also preceded in death by her son, Stephen Clement, February 1, 2004. He was 68 at the time of his death. Survivors include, one son, Kenneth Charles Aduddell, Coffeyville, Kansas; Three grandchildren, Stephen Mack, Grandview, Missouri; Rick Gavin, The Colony, Texas; Lillian Jane, Lees Summit, Missouri; Four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at 907 West Third Street, Coffeyville. The family requests no flowers and memorial donations to the First Presbyterian Church in Coffeyville. Private Memorial Services will be held in Fairview Cemetery, Coffeyville, Kansas. Arrangements are being handled by Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, Coffeyville, Kansas.
