Jean Shere

Jean Charity Shere 1921 2007 Coffeyville resident, Jean Charity Shere entered into rest on Tuesday evening, May 29, 2007. She was 85. Jean was born August 9, 1921 in Craig County, Oklahoma to John and Hattie Burtrum McCoy. On October 9, 1937 she married Floyd Shere in Welch, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death September of 1995. She was homemaker. She was of the Pentecostal Holiness Faith. Survivors include four daughters, Diana Deenihan Carl, Coffeyville; Daisy Wilson, Grand Junction, CO; Sharon Frey Forrest, Coffeyville; Karen Ledesma, Rufio Las Cruces, NM; one son, David Shere, Coffeyville Nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren One sister, Joy Long, Broken Arrow, OK She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Donald Shere, three brothers and one sister. Calling hoursVisitation: Mrs. Shere will lie in state on Thursday, May 31, 2007 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 4, 2007 at the Fairview Cemetery, Coffeyville, KS. Family and friends will gather at the graveside prior to services.
