Jewell Ridings

Jewell Rae Ridings of Neodesha, KS died, Wednesday, September 17, 2008 in Neodesha. She was 60. Jewell was born December 17, 1947 in Chetopa, KS, to Elmer and Ethel Wolfe Byrd. She grew up and attended Labette County schools where she graduated high school. Jewell also attended CCC. In November or 1968 she married William Jones they later
orced. Jewell completed her CNA license and worked in the medical field with CRMC and Medical Lodge of Coffeyville until her retirement. In June of 1993 she married William Ridings he preceded her in death on June 13, 2000. She was a member of the Christ Church in Neodesha. Surviving to honor her memory are her children, Sharron and husband Lorenzo Llanes and Charles Jones both of Parsons, Kansas; step daughter, Tammy Daniels of Coffeyville; sisters, Karen McCuistion of Missouri, Bonnie Bedell, Irene Eaton both of Neodesha, Kansas, Lucy Northcutt of San Antonio, Texas, Cindy Cothrun of Mound Valley, Kansas and Cathy Holtsclaw of Stark, Kansas; brothers, Allan Byrd of Ketchum, Oklahoma and Ronnie Byrd of Parsons, Kansas; and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Robert Jones; and brother, Terry Byrd, and two grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Monday, September 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Patio at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville.
