Joan Hahn Joan Hahn, of Independence, Kansas, entered eternal rest Friday, July 27, 2007, in Independence. She was 63. She was adopted and the family made their home in Independence. She graduated from elementery school at Independence Bible College on May 22, 1958. She graduated from Independence High School in May 1963. She later moved to Wichita where she was employed at a bus depot. She met Raymond Hahn and they were married April 8, 1967 in Wichita. They moved to Cherryvale and later to Coffeyville where they lived until Raymond passed away in 2003. Joan later moved to Independence to be with her daughter and grandchildren. She enjoyed drawing and attended art school and became a very fine artist. She is survived by her daughter, Ruby and husband, Andrew of Independence; three grandchildren, Michael Hahn, Dallas Sizemore and Desiree Sizemore, all of the home; sisters, Joyce Coleman of Coffeyville, Carolyn Earwood; half sisters, Janet Lyons and Pamela Lyons; brothers, Ernest Bailey, Billy Shaffer and Irwin Lyons. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; brother, Michael Trumpower and sister, Virginia Glasgow. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2007 at the Veterans Patio in the Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville. Services are under the direction of the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home. Friends may call on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home to sign the guest register. Memorials may be made to the family to help with final expenses.
