Obituary John Dallas Bever John Dallas Bever, age 83 of Liberty, Kansas, died Sunday Morning, November 26, 2006 in Wichita. John was born September 7, 1923 in Liberty to John P. and Adie Marchant Bever. On February 27, 1943, he married Mayme Johnston in Coffeyville. Following their marriage, John was employed at Jensens in Coffeyville. The couple lived most of their married life in Liberty where John managed the Liberty Grain Elevator for 30 years. He is survived by two daughters, Jean Kirk of Wichita and Jan Kirk of Leon. There are five grandsons and six great-grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mayme, two sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 2, 2006 in the Liberty United Methodist Church. Pastor Bill Booe and Reverend Jerry Bever will officiate. Burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery under the direction of the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home in Coffeyville. Friends may call on Thursday, November 30, 2006, from 9 AM until 9 PM and on Friday, December 1, 2006 from 9 AM until 9 PM at the funeral home to sign the guest book. The casket will be closed at 9 pm on Friday evening and will not be reopened at the church. Memorials may be made to the Liberty United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
