John Reinlein

John David Reinlein, 54, of Cherryvale and formerly of Coffeyville and Independence, Kansas, died Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Cherryvale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. John was born June 13, 1956 at Coffeyville, Kansas to Nick Reinlein and Mildred Hankins Reinlein. He grew up in Coffeyville and was a graduate of Field Kindley High School and attended Coffeyville Community College. John was a radio disc jockey and licensed photographer before becoming disabled. He married Penny Gayle Ranes on February 2, 1996 at Coffeyville. She preceded him in death on November 29, 2009. The couple had lived the last 13 years together in Independence and John moved to Cherryvale after his wifes death. He was a member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Coffeyville. He also liked building small models and doing crafts. John was a huge fan of Star Trek and while in high school was a member of the Coffeyville Police Cadets. John is survived only by his close friends, Becky Morgan of Parsons, Kansas and Patty Sandoval of Independence, and his church family at St. Pauls Episcopal Church. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, May 26 at St. Pauls Episcopal Church with Father Jerry Adinolfi officiating. Inurnment will take place in Coffeyvilles Fairview Cemetery.
