Joyce Coleman

Joyce Ilene Coleman age 71 of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on November 19, 2019 at Medicalodge of Coffeyville.

Joyce was born on April 22, 1948 to Floyd and Wilma (Dannels) Allen in Independence, Kansas.  Joyce’s parents moved to Emporia, Kansas where she attended school.  Joyce met Robert Rench after high school and the couple married in 1965 moving to Coffeyville where they made their home.  Of that union three children were born, Pete, Charley and Susan.  The couple later divorced.  Joyce met Albert Coleman and the couple married in September of 1985 also making their home in Coffeyville.  Albert preceded her in death on April 5, 1997.

Joyce was known for always having a smile on her face and a hug to offer you.  While raising her children she always welcomed their friends in for an afternoon snack or drink, she didn’t want anyone to go hungry and to always have a safe place to rest . She loved her children and was proud of their accomplishments.

Joyce attended the Central Baptist Church, she enjoyed crocheting, cooking, caring for her family and reading her Bible.  Her family meant the world to her.

Joyce will be missed by many and her memory will live on through her children, Pete Rench, Charley Rench and Susan Cornett; grandsons, Joseph and Joshua Cornett; great grandson, Joe Cornett; brother, Troy Allen; sister, Martha Tatman.  She was preceded in death by her parents and late husband Albert Coleman.

Graveside Services will be held at Robbins Cemetery under the direction of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel on Monday, November 25, 2019 at 10:00 am.  Chaplain Keith Springer of Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice will be officiating. To leave a message of condolence visit www.fordwulfbrunschapel.com
